JAMB Fixes Date To Announce 2018 Official Admission Cut-off Marks

The Joint Admission and Matriculation Board (JAMB) has disclosed when the board will announce the official cut-off marks for admission into Universities, Polytechnics and Colleges Of Education for the 2018/2019 Session.

This was made known by Mr Benjamin while announcing the success of the 2018 JAMB UTME for foreign candidates.

According to him, No cutoff marks will ever be decided upon without the usual policy meeting which has been scheduled to hold sometime in June and which is to be chaired by the Minister of Education, Malam Adamu Adamu. Until that is done, every other thing that is being paraded as cutoff mark is fictitious.

He equally stated that any institution that has commenced any form of admission without the official cutoff mark as would be decided upon at the June policy meeting is doing so illegally.

It was gathered that not less than 297 foreign candidates participated in the 2018 UTME in six countries namely, UK, Cameroon, Benin Republic, Côte d’Ivoire and South Africa

UTME 2018: JAMB gives update on removal of candidates’ results from website

The Joint Admissions and Matriculation Board (JAMB) has said the 2018 Unified Tertiary University Examinations (UTME) candidates who could no longer access their results might have had their results withheld.

The Board’s Head of Media, Fabian Benjamin, disclosed this in an interview with the News Agency of Nigeria (NAN) on Monday in Abuja.

Some candidates have earlier cried foul following the removal of their released results from the website of the Board, after initially accessing it.

The candidates complained that the site displayed, “You do not have any result yet” or “you did not write the examination,” after such results were earlier published.JAMB cut off mark

According to Mr. Benjamin, the board may reschedule the examinations for some whose cases are exceptional but some results may have been withheld.

“Once you don’t see your result after a while it means it has been withheld.

“However, there are exceptions and the board intends to reschedule the examinations for those who fall in that category but they would be contacted before then,” he said.

He explained that the board was still working to release other results.

He also said the board would continually give an update to the general public on latest developments as time goes on, especially if there are any changes in the system.

Mr. Benjamin also enjoined those who intend to change their choice of institutions before the 2018/19 admissions process begins, to visit the board’s site and follow the procedure as displayed.

He said the process has been ongoing and costs N2, 500 only and can only be processed online, just like every other process of the board.

You must have come across some of these messages before. Whenever you see anything like upgrading, please don’t even try to reach these people for assistance. They are coward and lazy individuals who want to syphon your hard-earned money.

Nigeria is known as one of the countries with lots of Internet scams, and this time around, it’s Nigerians targeting Nigerians. Please, i would love to use this platform, to advice all our readers, don’t fall for this!

If this is possible, lots of people won’t be buying jamb forms again! you can basically pay them, and they’;ll add your name in JAMB admission list. Use your brain.

The sad truth, is that many candidates with JAMB low scores/points have fallen victims, mostly to money-related Ponzi schemes that could be boiled down to greed and low self esteem, haste to be admitted and sometimes, abject stupidity.

Trust DSN Nigeria, we decided to call these people who will be helping candidates to upgrade their scores “100% guaranteed” and here’s our conversation! Enjoy.

The first number, which is published above, used in Prof-Oboh’s post, was answered by a male who confirmed that the service was available and asked that we call him back later.

When we called the ‘United Bank’ number, 0805**225*1, a distraught voice answered the phone.

This person who claims to be Unity Bank, told Faith, a Newbuster reporter, that he has been receiving calls from people needing to upgrade their scores but claims he knows nothing about a JAMB score upgrade.

Updated JAMB cut off marks 2018/2019 for all Nigerian colleges and universities

If you plan on gaining admission into the university, polytechnic or any other tertiary institution, you have to know the JAMB  cut off marks .

The cut off marks for JAMB varies from course of study to course of study. Below you will find all the essential JAMB news about cut off marks for gaining admission in 2018.JAMB cut off marks for school

The Joint Admission and Matriculation Board (JAMB) has already released JAMB 2018/2019 cut off marks for all Nigerian universities. Are you ready for Jamb Latest News?

JAMB cut off marks 2018/2019

You must have the minimum JAMB cut off mark 120 to enter the Nigerian Universities. As for JAMB cut off mark for polytechnics and colleges you should have 100. At the same time, if you want to get an education at innovative, enterprising institutes, your minimum score must be 110.

Remember! Higher institutions reserve the right to increase the JAMB 2018/2019 cut off mark above the minimum accepted by JAMB.

JAMB cut off marks

Mr. Is-haq Oloyede (the JAMB Registrar) mentioned that a Central Admission Processing System (CAPS) would be adopted to regularize the processes of admission into institutions

JAMB: 23 universities set admission cut-off marks at 120

The JAMB Registrar also added that schools could also make use of the dual mode system. In this case, both manual and the newly introduced CAPS can be adopted.

He also noted that the candidates who chose to study Agriculture in higher institutions were low while those who wanted to study Medicine and Sciences increased this year.

As for illegal admissions, Is-haq Oloyede said that the admission process is automatic and all candidates must be approved by the JAMB Registrar.

Nearly 17,160 students have gotten admission into school without JAMB in Nigeria.

Mr. Adamu Adamu, the Minister of Education, declared a cancellation of the ban of Post-UTME examination as a premise for entering universities and polytechnics.

He marked that post-UTME banning caused a lot of rules’ violations both by candidates and institutions.

After the ban cancellation, schools could now conduct exams freely, and examination fee must not be more than 2000 Naira.

The Minister also assured that a high number of candidates who took part at the 2017 UTME would enter the higher education institutions this year.

We hope, the above JAMB news about cut off mark was useful for you. Good Luck!JAMB cut off mark
